A Turnkey Project
We were given the exciting task of creating a Torque Tester capable of testing 22 parts per minute. The tester had to be fully automated and be operator free.
This fully functional machine was taken from concept to completion in eight short weeks.
The completed machine has a four station work table with two torque guns.
Pictured from above
The vibratory bowl feeder is manually fed, but from there till the tested parts are dumped out the opposite end, everything is automated. Acceptable parts tumble out one chute and rejected parts out the other chute. A red light alerts the operator of the need to refill the vibratory bowl with more parts and a fifteen second delay in parts feed effects an automatic shutoff.

Creating a Prototype
Although wood is not a normal medium for us to work with, if it needs to be made........we can do it. These photos are a prototype project for a product that will eventually be made from plastic. In order to test the design, we programmed our small CNC milling machine to make the part out of laminated hardwood.
